The Motorola Droid Mini has a decent Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 805 and up to 3GB of RAM. Its operating system is the Android 4.4.4 KitKat. If the reports are true, this latest Motorola phone will have a shell made of Kevlar and display glass that is covered with Corning Gorilla.
Verizon is offering various offers and deals with Motorola Droid Mini. The telecom carrier is offering three payment plans for this phone model.
The first option is a two year subscription period, in which, Verizon will provide the subscriber a Motorola Droid Mini, free of charge. Activation Fees will be collected.
The second option is the "Verizon Edge" Subscriber for this plan will have to pay for the Motorola Droid Mini in installments. You could pay the full cost of the phone in 20 monthly installments at $22.49 per month. Verizon also offers monthly discount ranging from $10 up to $25. If you have paid at least 60 percent of the Motorola Droid Mini's price, you are eligible for an upgrade.
The third option is getting the phone at full price which is around $449.99. Once you bought the unit, there will be no contract necessary. You can also upgrade to another unit anytime you want. The full price is for the unit only, the activation fee will be charged separately.
According to the Verizon post, the Motorola Droid Mini contains several pre-installed apps. This Android smartphone may have the Uber, Amazon MP3, Pinterest, FIFA 14 from EA Sports, TripAdvisor, Flipboard, Hipmunk Hotels and Flight, Kayak, Daily Burn, Map My Fitness, Hangouts and other Google related apps as well as Verizon specific apps.
The Motorola Droid Mini is equipped with a 10 mega pixel (MP) rear facing camera with flash and quick-capture. The front facing camera has 2 MP. The battery is made up of Lithium Ion and has a capacity of 2,000 mAh. The battery however, is non-removable and it can last up to 14 days on standby mode or 28 hours if used.
