Cleveland Cavaliers Roster: Lebron James Says Patience Key To Winning Title; Four-Time MVP Motivated For Next Season

The Cleveland Cavaliers roster made their first public appearance on Friday where LeBron James took the spotlight in his first official press conference since returning to the Cavs.

James, who decided to return to Cleveland after spending four seasons with the Miami Heat, said in an interview that he learned to be patient during his stint at South Beach.

Entering the 2014-15 NBA season, Cleveland Cavaliers' roster is considered as one of the strongest in the league, but James knows that nothing is guaranteed, saying that the team needs to be patient in order to reach their full potential.

"You need to be very patient with the process and understand," James told reporters via ESPN. "I think everyone always wants to see the end result and what's at the end of the tunnel, and don't quite understand what goes on from the start to the finish and what's in between that. And I understand that and I know that."

James, who will form a new Big Three with Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving, insisted that having a strong roster doesn't guarantee a championship, similar to what happened during his first season in Miami where they lost to the Dallas Mavericks in the finals.

Love, who was acquired by the Cavaliers in a blockbuster deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves this offseason, echoed James' statement, saying that nothing will be given to them in the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, James also added that he is very motivated, insisting that he still has a lot to prove in the league despite enjoying successes in his first 11 seasons in the league.

"I still have a lot to prove because of expectations I put on myself. I ask more of myself than anybody can ask of me," James said via USA Today. "I am more patient now than I was four years ago. I understand what it takes to win a championship. I understand winning a championship is the hardest thing you can do."

The new-look Cleveland Cavaliers roster will be first tested in a preseason game on October 5 against Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Quicken Loans Arena before taking on the Heat on October 11 in Brazil.
