Jennifer Lopez is among the multi-talented artists in the industry today. Beginning her career as a back-up dancer to Janet Jackson, she quickly rose to fame after her portrayal of Selena in the biopic released in 1997.
Undeniably, JLo is known worldwide for her music and performances, her widescreen image has been slightly neglected. The number of films she has made since 1986 hasn't been one of those receiving positive feedback nor hitting the high box office sales.
Although she has some box office hits such as "Main in Manhattan" (2002), "Shall We Dance" (2004), and "Monster in Law" (2005), Jennifer Lopez has yet to prove her star in the film industry.
However, critics are skeptical about her performance in the upcoming "The Boy Next Door". Although the trailer launched online seems promising as it might look a bit like her "Enough" film in 2002, but none of the kickboxing happens in this thriller.
The psychopath stalker Noah, played by "Pretty Little Liar" actor Ryan Guzman is an up-and-coming 26-year-old actor from Texas. He began in 2012 with "72 Hours with Empire" as himself, and became known as Sean Asa in the 2012 "Step Up Revolution."
In an interview with OK! Magazine, Ryan shares his thoughts on "The Boy Next Door". He shares, "It's been interesting, completely different character that I've ever played. I think people will be shocked to see what I do in this film. Obviously I was excited because there's a love scene with Jennifer blah blah, but I was more excited to play a character that was so different and so craxy and so out there."
"The Boy Next Door" release date has been officially set for January 23, 2015. The film's trailer has also been uploaded online.
