GoPro Hero4 Release Date Reportedly Delayed Until March 2015; Updates Revealed, Specs, Price, And New Features; Sports Cam Arriving With 13MP Photosensor And A9 Processor

GoPro Hero 4 release date is now set for next year, according to speculations.

The GoPro line has ultimately enabled extreme sports enthusiasts to change the way the world views their high dives, flips, and rough terrain jumps in bikes, skateboards, motorcycles and parachutes.

GoPro Hero4 release date has been originally set for October 2014. However, due to unrevealed causes, online speculations vary from product development delays or highly a marketing strategy, GoPro Hero4 release date has been allegedly moved to a later date, on March 2015.

One of the most awaited updates on the GoPro series expected in GoPro Hero4 is the improved action photography. Apart from the impeccable video footage that can be shot from the GoPro series, photographs are now being taken using the device. It will come in a 13-megapixel photosensor, and an improved lens to take photos even in the dark.

According to reports, while the predecessor to GoPro Hero4 was buit on an A7 processor, GoPro Hero4 will be built with a 1GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor chip for accuracy and quality of both videos and photos. It will be able to capture videos with a 4K resolution, with not more than a rate of 30 frames per second.

Physical qualities of Hero 4 will come in no more than 100g in weight, but will still be able to withstand a considerable amount of impact - land, air or seas. This waterproof series also includes GoPro Hero4 to be submerged up to 60 meters of water.

These advancements will not come cheap however. It is reported that as Hero 3 prices will drop nearing the GoPro Hero4 release date, around $350 minimum a pop.

GoPro Hero4 will remain WiFi equipped, with HDMI and USB ports for streaming.

GoPro Hero4 speculations on appearance may also come in black, while or silver.
