Heidi Klum and Seal were married for seven years and put their marriage on full display as the couple looked happy and over-the-moon in love with each other. Now, it seems the former couple are going through a nasty divorce after Seal remarked that he wished Klum had shown more class and waited before "fornicating with the help", referring to her bodyguard of four years.
Seal spoke candidly with TMZ last week Friday about Heidi's relationship with bodyguard Martin Kristen and alleged that's why they broke up. I guess I didn't expect any better from him, I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were," Seal told TMZ. "But I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for the past seven months."
Days later, his rep explained to Us Weekly that he was "merely pointing out that their separation and divorce were not final and they are still legally married."
The couple was already in the middle of what looked like a bitter custody battle for their four children, but the gloves are about to come off. RadarOnline reports that Seal is planning to use Heidi's relationship with bodyguard Martin Kristen as leverage to get a bigger settlement out of the divorce, and get more time with the children.
"I cherish all of the great memories Seal and I created together over the years. Our separation was based on issues between the two of us. Seal has moved on and so have I. My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children," a rep for the former Victoria's Secret supermodel told E! News,
The "Project Runway" judge added, "Our separation was based on issues between the two of us. Seal has moved on and so have I. My priority has and continues to be protecting and providing for our children."
The supermodel and Seal separated in January and Heidi filed for divorce in April. They have four children.
Klum hinted there was more to her split with Seal in an April interview with ELLE magazine. "To the outside world, you don't really share all the things that happen. You kind of share just the most amazing sides," she explained. "But I don't really want to get into any of that stuff. With my life, my family, my business -- I want to go forward."
