Fox's Gotham TV series is only in its eight episode and will be airing its winter finale on November 24. The series was ordered for 22 episodes so fans don't have to fret as they can be sure that they will see more of Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie), young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz), the Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) when they return next year. The show is up for more than 22 episodes though. As a newly added actor hinted, Fox has already confirmed Gotham Season 2.
Nicholas D' Agosto, who will play Harvey Dent in the series, said that he has been promoted to a series regular for Gotham Season 2. Harvey Dent will first appear on the next episode of Gotham. According to Gotham TV series spoilers, Dent, who is the alter ego of supervillain Two-Face, will team up with Jim Gordon in bringing down criminals in the forsaken city.
"I become a regular in Season 2," D'Agosto said according to Zap2It. "So you'll see a lot more of me in Season 2, which we all hope happens."
D'Agosto said that he will appear in first season of Gotham multiple times.
"I will be joining in for at least a couple episodes at some point in these last eight [of Season 1]," he says, "but I don't know when."
The prospect of having Gotham Season 2 is not clear yet. Although they are getting good reviews from different entertainment websites, they suck at ratings game. After debuting to 8.21 million viewers in its pilot episode last September 22, Gotham saw a decline in viewership until the seventh episode. The sixth episode of Gotham TV series recorded 5.89 million viewers, its lowest. However, on the seventh episode titled Penguin's Umbrella, the ratings leaped, attracting 6.63 million viewers. Then again, the Mask, its eight episode, saw a decline.
Gotham has more than 10 episodes in its schedule so it is not yet time to assume that it will be canceled. What do you think? Is Gotham Season 2 already confirmed?
